Caroline Finley is a proud New Orleans native majoring in Honors Political Science with a minor in German at the United States Naval Academy. She is the Director of the 2022 Naval Academy Foreign Affairs Conference, is a member of Academy’s Senior U.K./International Scholarship Program, and captains the Ethics Debate Team. Her current research, inspired by her work in the Secretary of the Navy’s International Affairs Directorate, explores the effects of alliances on the United States’ hegemonic power and its leadership of the liberal world order, with a special focus on NATO and the transatlantic partnership. She hopes to serve as a Naval Flight Officer upon graduation, and transition to a career in the foreign policymaking sphere after her time in the Navy concludes
