Mike Ambrose is the Vice President of Sikorsky Enterprise Business Transformation at Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin Company. He is responsible for over 3200 global engineering professionals providing engineering support to all Sikorsky development, production, sustainment, and aftermarket programs. Mike is also responsible for technical oversight of Sikorsky Research & Development projects, and Sikorsky Innovations advanced programs.


Mike Ambrose is a 36-year employee of Sikorsky Aircraft. Prior to his current assignment, Mike was Vice President of Aircraft Design and Manufacturing Engineering and before that was the Vice President of International Military Programs at Sikorsky Aircraft. From 2005 - 2008, Mike worked in Operations as the General Manager of the Sikorsky Rotors and Transmissions Product

Center, where he successfully implemented 18 lean product cells that enabled the business to double output in 2.5 years.

Mike has been awarded with two U.S. Patents in his career. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Haven (UNH) and was elected into both the university's Athletic and Engineering Hall of Fames. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Engineering from the University of New Haven in 2019. Mike earned a Master of Science in System Engineering / Engineering Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Additionally, Mike serves on the RBC Bearings Board of Directors, a public company with a $3B market value. Mike also serves on the University of New Haven Board of Governors (2015 - present) and was named as the Vice Chair of the Board in 2020. Mike is a published author with 35 poems published and 1 book "On the Fourth Day, A Christian Story
